“The city is located on the Missouri River. It is the birthplace of hip hop star Eminem as well as the death place of Jesse James; it is also the starting point of the Pony Express. St. Joseph is also home to Missouri Western State University.“

It has the charm of many small American towns. It is also facing the same challenges other small towns face. Saint Joseph however has elected to make the arts and artist a cornerstone of its future. At one point of it’s history it was the launch point to the west. Now it wants to become the bridge between rural and urban America.
